About us
The American Federation of Musicians (AFM) was founded in 1896 to represent musicians through its local and international offices. The AFM is affiliated with the AFL-CIO and also works closely with other arts and entertainment unions and organizations. Local 106-209 handles most contract issues and services within its area of jurisdiction.

Local Jurisdiction Area
All of Niagara County except the portion which is in the jurisdiction of Local 97, Lockport, NY. Included in our area are: Cities of Niagara Falls (NY), North Tonawanda and Tonawanda. The township of Tonawanda bordered by Niagara Falls Blvd. (both sides) to Sheridan Dr. (north side) to the Niagara River. The following in Erie County: northern half of Grand Island, Marilla, Aurora (East Aurora), Wales, Colden, Holland, Concord, Sardina, Springville. The following in Wyoming County: Bennington, Sheldon, Java and Arcade.
Regular meetings of Local 106-209 are held in January, April, July and October on the 3rd Tuesday of the month. Time and place to be set by the Executive Board and published in our quarterly paper (Quarter Notes) prior to each meeting.
Executive Board meetings are held each month and on special call by the President. Time and Place to be set by the Secretary, Bus. Agt.
